I respect a developer who just gives you the game without trying to sell you a subscription to 'Double-Tile Pro.' This is 2048. You’ve played it before, and you know if you like it. It’s a mathematical puzzle that’s good for five minutes of brain exercise. The different grid sizes are a nice touch for when the 4x4 gets too predictable.
However, it’s about as exciting as a spreadsheet. There’s no flair, no personality, and the haptic feedback is the only thing that makes it feel like an app rather than a website from 2014. It’s the digital equivalent of a deck of cards—useful to have, but nothing to get excited about. If you want 2048 without being harassed by ads, this is the one to get.
