I love it
Tue Apr 09 2024 ramms187I play about 8 merge games at a time, this one is one of my fav. 2nd to be exact. The graphics are bright and happy , the events are fun and doable. The rewards are great for casual players and committed ones, if you put enough effort u can get all the way down the Bp and that is a must for me, if I am to buy it. I want my money to actually make a difference. Certain semi permanent events are not worth the trouble, like the photo collecting one, just steer clear of it unless you’re ready to fork up a lot of money, you won’t miss anything, there’s still plenty of content for f2p, resources are a plenty, you just have to be smart how you spend it. All in all this is one of the very few merge games that I look forward to playing. Most merge games will stall and slow you down once u hit a certain level but not this one. It always feels like you’re moving and progressing in a very consistent manner. I adore this game for it. Definitely give it a chance you won’t regret investing your time in it.
Used to be addictive
Thu Apr 11 2024 Das731I used to be addicted to this game but then the changes they have made it frustrating. First, you had to have coins to play the adventure. With adventures coming occasionally, they just build up in hopes that at some point you will get something to spend them on. Then, they made 2 level object generators where you have to decide between feeding them or finishing a contract. Both of these added some frustration. However, they have added a new beach type generator that when you get to its top is an additional generator. This addition has sand objects that you are supposed to get occasionally (like other generators), but this generator only puts so many objects until it stops. I have gone through 7 of these generators without getting one sand object and the contract is for the fifth level. I will never complete it and am contemplating deleting the app.

Second, it’s a typical merge game with orders to fill (not timed), side challenges for collecting gold or other specialty items, competitions to rank the highest for a great reward. It has good graphics, a good story to follow along with, achievable goals.
Third, I like that I don’t feel strapped to the game. I can put it down and come back when the time is best for me without missing out on specialty things. Specially things DO have a time limit, but most are several days long. So, it can still be done.
Fourth, the ads are “optional” - if you want a special reward, extra energy, etc then you can watch an ad. That is nice. However, the side game (match 3) doesn’t have ad options, so after each failure you watch an ad. Not too bad.
Not as Advertised
Fri May 03 2024 xlisalovexxThis game is not as advertised. The advertised gameplay is a mini game called “Help Aurora” that is only available up to level 31 on normal and level 9 for challenge. You can replay levels but only after watching a video. It says more mini games are in preparation. However there is still a “new” indicator on the mini game icon as if there is a new game to play. Similar to what happens when you do unlock a new mini game. It’s misleading. I do like the merge aspect of the true game so I will keep playing it. I will NOT be spending any money like I do my other games because I feel I can’t trust a company that false advertises (not that it will hurt them because I’m sure they make money from the video adds). Even the apps thumbnail is misleading. It shows mini game gameplay, but that’s not what you end up playing past level 31. I wish I could add screenshots. I also looked at the responses from the developer and I can tell there is no consideration for consumers saying they don’t like the game because it is not as advertised. Again I will NOT be spending money with the app.
Fun game but needs some improvements
Sat Dec 21 2024 152758774I like the game but it has some problems. First thing is my “clay pot” is not working. It just froze and doesn’t do anything. Whenever I add flowers in a vase and honey it just freezes and doesn’t accept any item. Neither it produces anything in return.
Besides, this issues the game’s mini games never developed and it has been over a year it shows that new mini games will be soon but that “soon” never came.
The game’s events are very hard to play without spending real money. The game doesn’t give much energy and if I want to get free energy then I have to watch tons of ads , which are annoying.
Also, the game has very little space for every useless stuff that comes from the “gift “ boxes . It would be good if the game would have more storage spaces for fish, for tools, for flowers and woods. Overall, I like playing it but sometimes it is very annoying.
Fun game but needs a few adjustments

But the higher the level, the less you can do because the Board doesn’t get bigger but the amount of stuff they give you that you don’t want to recycle increases SO much. Also, I didn’t evaluate every single item I got, causing me to recycle some things when I was a lower level that I wouldn’t have had I know that they were Rare and very important. Maybe doing that is messing me up now, idk. Also when you start, you get 100 lightning bolts, but if I used single show lightning bolts, I would have gotten so board. So now I have the x2 on which gets me a higher level item. Well a Higher Level ((I don’t know what to call it, fishing box, shell thing, tool box, and so on)) shouldn’t be giving me L1 items when it is a L8 or higher. I am considering deleting the game.
Great Game and Great Mini Games
Fri Jul 12 2024 UCReddBoth games are great to play, however the mini games are not updating. Every time I update my game app I notice new mini games available to play. They seem very challenging and fun. But again they are not updating on my device. I have reach out on the in-game contact page with no success except that “we are working hard and new games will be available soon”. Not the answer I was looking for. Please tell how I can fix this problem. I have already tried reloading the app. Again this is a great game to play. Wish it was a way of getting or winning more lightning bolts (energy). But all in all in spite of the mini games not loading or when the do load they have already been playing “not sure what’s going on there”. I gave it a 3 star rating because of the mini game not working.

Ever changing - frustrating

The first month it played as advertised, but then the mini games stopped renewing and it took forever to secure enough money to upgrade the island. Then island stop renewing. Now the ability to watch enough videos and increase playing time has boiled down to how much are you willing to pay. The games gives tons of opportunities to get coins that can’t be use on anything or some multicolored gems that used to pay for upgrades. Now you can ONLY use the purple gems to purchase energy but there are no more free ways to get energy anymore which is again ANOTHER change.
I’ve spent money on energy but it doesn’t go far. If you are looking for a game that you can enjoy and not spending $20 a day, this is not the game for you as it stands. They need to figure out what they want the game to be and the object of it. I will be deleting after exhausted the challenge I paid for which is in 2 days.
Can’t accomplish anything
Sun May 07 2023 AllieOGOnly rate a 3 because I love the layout and the cute fishy’s & all not the overall game. It would be a five if I could make progress. I really liked this game but as to not being able to accomplish anything or make any progress whatsoever I did uninstall. I have spent more than 14 hours a day for the past few days & I still haven’t been able to clear the bored of frozen spots. It’s a bit ridiculous how much you have to do to get one item. By the time you get that one item you’ve used all your energy plus the energy you had to buy.
If you could actually make progress this game would be the best. It was gonna be my second favorite until I realized how little you can accomplish.
Used to Be a Great Stress Reliever — Until I Bought Gems
Tue Jun 17 2025 Coach PD10I’ve been playing Merge Island for a while, and in the beginning, it was exactly what I needed — a peaceful, engaging way to unwind and de-stress. The gameplay was smooth, and progression felt natural and rewarding.
But everything changed after I made the mistake of purchasing gems. Once you spend money, the game’s entire dynamic shifts. Suddenly, progress feels gated, obstacles become more frequent, and it’s clear the system is designed to push more purchases. The joy and escape I once found here have been replaced with frustration.
It’s disappointing to see a game that started off so relaxing turn into another paywall-heavy experience. If you’re considering playing, enjoy it for free — but don’t spend money, or you risk losing what made the game enjoyable in the first place.
