Amazing adaptation, or will be
Wed Feb 07 2024 bunner97I’ve played the PC version of this game for a number of months and always thought it’d adapt very well to a phone game. Just my luck, this popped up on the app store just last month.
It delivers in spades as a stylized mini pseudo simulator, but it still has some issues to work out i hope to see fixed in later updates.
- notification crashes: on a handful of occasions, Ive received battery life notifications (this game is will exercise your battery) that the typical “battery save mode” or “cancel” popups that will freeze the game when you return or quit out of the stage
- no pause: to clarify, there is a pause button. However i have had two instances in which i go to pause but the button does nothing and my car careens off the map
- button layout: this is more of an amenity I’d like to see later, but the gas/brake pedal buttons are pretty close together, and the ability to choose from some layouts could benefit some big-thumbed players like myself who inadvertently accelerate of a cliffside hairpin now and again
All in all the game is incredibly fun and, I think, more pleasantly challenging in ways than the PC version. I hope some of the release issues are fixed!!
Just needs a little bit of polishing
Thu Feb 08 2024 The one who was unfortunateThis game is beautiful, but there’s a part of me that still feels that the pc/console version of the game is still more beautiful. One thing that I noticed is that (I might be wrong) it seems like there’re no dynamic crowds like in the pc/console ports. Maybe you can add more in depth graphics settings like which can include things like: anti-aliasing, ambient occlusion, bloom, depth of field, film grain, motion blur, volumetric lighting, vegetation distance and density, etc… I understand that currently, the focus is to optimize the game and mitigate overheating issues, but I hope that someday in the future you could add in these graphics settings so that the mobile port looks just as beautiful as its pc/console counterparts.
Dang near perfect simcade racer
Wed Feb 07 2024 Nuff64I have this game on every platform I own, including Xbox and Switch and I have a running file on every version. I don't care if I have to do it again on each version. It's perfect. I love this game so much. Having it portable on iPhone and bigger screen portable with iPad is amazing. They play so well on both. Controller support is there too. The soundtrack is so amazing, I even jam to it when I'm driving in real life. I'm obsessed. Rock-solid controls. It's not arcadey, and it'll make you brake on turns. You better be ready! The game doesn't play. It's beautiful. The aesthetic is timeless.
If you're on the fence about this game, just do it. Just buy it. Trust me. Totally worth it.
Awesome, with bugs
Fri Jan 19 2024 hahnnnnnAwesome game. Favorite racing game I have on my iPhone yet. There is a game-breaking bug, however; there is a night segment on Group 3 Season 1974 where the graphics are bugged and gives you a pitch black screen instead of a properly lit night map. Therefore, it’s impossible to see anything and complete the track.
Great game major flaws.
Wed Jan 24 2024 simpllymmoriTo be honest I have been excited for this game for a while now. Preordered and got it. Game is beautiful. All the tracks, maps and cars. Hope there’s more in the future. Tho it is very frustrating when the game still doesn’t feel very optimized. My IPhone 15 Pro Max runs very hot. Only this game. I play Call of Duty mobile max settings. Devil May cry.. many power hungry and graphic intensive games. And for whatever reason this beautiful yet simple art style is cooking my phone. In an era of these super powerful phones with extreme performance I feel this should be a piece of cake. Hope to see 120 frames in the future.
Controls ruin this game
Mon Feb 12 2024 goredsI was looking forward to this one for ages. Pre-ordered the game and downloaded it as soon as it was available. The game itself looks great but I really can’t attest to the gameplay because I simply can’t get past the touch controls. This has to be the most unpleasant driving experience I have ever had in a mobile driving game. Please allow for a variety of steering input styles and not just touch buttons for right and left. It’s impossible to enjoy the game as it is.
Great game but…
Fri Jan 26 2024 art of rally playerIt’s an amazing game that has a great balance of simplicity but also difficulty the one thing that really takes away from the game it’s the amount of crashes, it crashes very often, usually at the beginning or middle of stages, i haven’t been able to play a free roam game without it crashing when i get it. It could be my software but i think that’s the biggest drawback of the art of rally, great game, lots of crashes.
Pretty good
Tue Jan 23 2024 hdjxndufhxbsjfbchtjzaacjfNeat looking environments. Fun lore tidbits. Fun gameplay for the most part. Cool variety of cars and tracks .
Loading times can be somewhat long and annoying . There are some semi drastic frame hiccups and online play is pretty much entirely missing . ( theres a very minimalistic leaderboard / daily challenge thing ).
worth 5 bucks for sure
Fun approachable rally game
Tue Jan 23 2024 Walk3r-919Was excited to own the game that I already have on PC now on mobile. The game looks and runs as great as it does on pc but needs a bit more optimization for that 5 star. iPhone 15 pro running the game burns through battery. Aside from that it’s the perfect mobile game
Can’t wait to see this game grow.
Tue Jan 23 2024 FinestMomentsGraphics are actually beautiful for the style it’s in. It’s very challenging depending if you’re going for speed but there’s something just right about driving a 89hp rally car and looking at pink trees haha
