Baseball Stars 2 is an absolute blast from the past, perfectly preserved in this ACA NEOGEO mobile port. As a long-time fan of arcade sports, I can safely say that the high-energy, fast-paced action that defined the 1992 original is fully intact here. The graphics are a love letter to the 16-bit era, with huge, expressive sprites and fluid animations that make every home run feel monumental.

The mobile controls are surprisingly responsive, though the game really shines if you connect a Bluetooth controller. What makes this version special is the 'modern' arcade features added by Hamster, like global leaderboards and various difficulty settings. It’s not a realistic simulation like MLB The Show, but it doesn't try to be—it’s about the pure, unadulterated joy of arcade baseball where every hit feels like a fireworks display.
