BLUK is a beautiful example of 'less is more' in game design. It’s a physics-based platformer that relies on a single pull-and-release mechanic, yet it manages to be incredibly challenging and meditative at the same time. The minimalist art style and ambient soundscape create a very relaxing atmosphere.

The progression through different worlds, each with its own unique physics quirk, keeps the gameplay from getting stale. It requires a lot of precision and patience, which might frustrate some, but landing a perfect jump across a wide gap is immensely satisfying. It’s a perfect 'flow state' game for short sessions.

Walkthrough

Predicting the Bounce

When jumping onto smaller pillars, aim for the center. If you land on the edge, the physics engine will cause your block to tilt and slide off. Use the trajectory line to ensure your landing is as flat as possible.
