I’ve played better volleyball games on the Commodore 64. Beach Volley Pro is the definition of mediocre. The controls are 'floaty'—there’s no sense of weight to the ball or the players. It feels like you're guiding a balloon around a screen rather than competing in an athletic event.

The customization is shallow, and the AI is either brain-dead or cheatingly perfect with no middle ground. It's a budget title that feels like a budget title. I suppose if you are desperate for a volleyball fix on the go, it functions, but it’s not going to keep you engaged for more than a single bus ride.

Mastering the Spike

Timing is everything. Wait for the setter to lob the ball to its peak height. Perform a fast, downward swipe at the exact moment of contact to deliver a powerful spike that the AI will struggle to return.
