Fri Jan 24 2025 BOBΔYou get like 2 songs at the start of the game. It’s insanely difficult to get new ones without spending so much money because there’s no free option. I completed all the songs I had (there was like 5??) and didn’t have enough of anything to get new ones. The progression of the game is slow and doesn’t give many options to get new songs. Even the ones on your wishlist are difficult to obtain. It’s been about 3 weeks since I’ve had the game and I don’t have any of the songs I like. I’ve received a lot of hard-extreme levels that I can’t pass at all instead of the easy ones first ?? If you’re not paying real money, you’re watching 15 ads to get a song. I wouldn’t get the app unless you’re trying to waste time and money

Sun Oct 13 2024 TwoNumberNinesso imagine beat saber, except none of your skins or weapons or songs are there. and all of the songs you can unlock are either behind a paywall, gained via gacha, or both. ill miss saving up to get the songs i wanted... now i have to play a million songs i dont care about just for the Chance to play something i actually enjoy. because im gonna be for real i hate some of these songs. i don't want to put 8 songs on my wishlist for every box at my level when i actively dislike half of my options. i just want to unlock rabbit hole after spending 10 dollars on premium for it. also the neverending promo for the overly expensive song packs is SOOO ANNOYING and theres no option to not see it again. yes!!! i know i can possibly get not like us for 5 dollars!! very cool!!! i already spent 10 dollars too many. go away. also its 10x uglier than beat blade. i had to say it. i miss being a little guy with a cute little magical girl wand. this new geometry creature does not speak to me. also having to watch 5 ads to get one completely random song when im already watching an ad after every round is insane. the greed!

Sat Apr 13 2024 clyde1384Groovy Galaxy is quite clearly a complete reskin of Beat Blade with the sole purpose of siphoning more money from the playerbase. The gameplay is functionally identical and the vast majority of levels are 1:1 recreations. It is, for all intents and purposes, the exact same game with none of my progress maintained. I paid $5 for no ads in Beat Blade, and worked tirelessly to achieve full comboes on numerous levels. Why should I have to pay much more and watch numerous ads to replay these exact same levels again? Furthermore, the progression is time gated and much less open-ended than Beat Blade, leading to a far worse user experience. This would be fine if Groovy Galaxy was offered as an ALTERNATIVE to Beat Blade, but Beat Blade has been taken off the AppStore and the textures in the game have been forcibly locked on the disgusting looking “classic” versions, clearly trying to force players over. I suspect they will stop updating Beat Blade with songs as well, the final nail in the coffin for a game with so much potential. Awful, money grubby move from the devs to trying to get me to pay more after I’d already spent a lot of time and money on their previous game… for shame.

Mon Jul 29 2024 TylerSnipezzzThis game wishes to be Beat Blade but can never compete, only reason why it has any players is because beat blade was taken off app store. The game is a pay to play basically any song after the first 5 songs it gives you for free. It fails to sync up the box hits with the beat so anytime you have to rapidly hit, it just turns into audio garbage which does more to distract you than help you stay in a rhythm. The game will lag at times and boxes will turn into ghost like boxes which you will float through without breaking causing combos to be ruined. I have already cleared all 5 starting songs and have to watch ads or pay for more songs… which would be more fine if the app was not awfully designed in terms of lag/performance issues and audio actually synced up right. Play if you want, just be aware this is how the game currently is. Also I have spent money on beat blade and this is all I have to show for it? No progress anymore, rebuy songs/features? I bought no ads and a pass to give me access to every song in beat blade, why am i being targeted now by having to repay for everything?

Sun Apr 07 2024 SplayYoyoI have seen better games, this one is just like all the other rhythm games and is even almost worse. With that said, this game has a feature that those other games don’t. You can play this game infinitely. There is no limit to how many songs you can play or how long you can play for. Even when your case slots are full, you can still play for as long as you want. This feature sets this game aside from all the other ones and makes it 10x better than any of the other rhythm games I’ve played thus far. 5/5 Please keep this feature.

Fri Dec 20 2024 CozyVercsIt’s basically all like other rhythm games, but like that other guy said there’s a lot of songs and infinite slots, etc. only problem is the ads, I get you need money to keep the app free, but the fact that if you do fail a song early or late you’ll get a ad from my knowledge, and to watch 5 ads to get one song, which btw the ads can be from 30 seconds-1 minute, is overkill in my opinion. Other than that, there’s good songs, plenty to choose from, and when it says it’s a hard song, it is.
Edit: I figured out another thing, when restarting the song before you finish it, it will sometimes stay stuck in place and you’re only way to fix it is to quit the game and restart it (or possibly going back to home and dealing with a annoying ad.) please fix this bug.

Of course you have to pick three because that covers all the bases and your choices immediately don’t matter. Everything is locked behind loot boxes and paywalls anyway. Leveling up just gets you a whole roster. Doesn’t matter if it’s pop when you chose rock. That’s fine, but don’t ask me what my preference is. None of the loot boxes that appear in rewards or the shop seem to care. None of the unlocks seem to care. What especially drives me up a wall is the six choice wishlist minimum. I don’t want to gamble on a wishlist. All that does is get me a song that I probably don’t want at that time, and make me want to put the game down. Which is what I’ll do because I got the wrong song.

Wed Mar 05 2025 MunchieNomWhen I first played this game, it was a fine game with good songs. At the time you play ads to unlock the songs. When I recently redownloaded this game, the changes are already frustrating me.
The constant ads being shoved into my face each time I complete level is super annoying and ruins the flow of the game. Not to mention there is this weird glitch where an ad would finish the music suddenly stopped and I can’t fix it until I completely exit out of the app.
It also doesn’t help that the app and developers are shoving the pop up of PAY US TO STOP THE ADS!! PAY US TO STOP THE ADS!! Which leaves a bad taste in my mouth whenever I see the pop up. I’m already willing to watch ALL five ads to unlock the songs, shoving more ads and asking us for money just feels scummy.

A downside that made me give this game 4 stars is that it has a lot of ads and you have wait for your chests to open and get a new song to play. I rather watch ads to get free songs instead of waiting 18 hours just for my chest to open and play a new song. Please get rid of the level ups and chests and make me watch ads to get them. Oh btw, if you want to play a free song but it has ads, they make you watch five ads. I did that for Old Town Road. It was extremely time consuming because each of my ads was forty seconds long. Please reduce the amount of ads.

Fri Feb 28 2025 mememessmemeThe game itself is really fun and addicting. My only problem with the game is that the difficulties don’t always make sense. For example I perfected the song Centuries with relative ease which is ranked an expert difficulty. Yet songs like Bad Apple or Bad Habits are ranked as a hard and the other a medium difficulty song . And I can’t for the life of me perfect them. Also small side note to the map creator for My ordinary life I hope you stub your toe really hard because why would you make the map layout for the song like that.
