BeatX doesn't care about looking pretty. It looks like a Windows 98 utility, and frankly, I don't hate that. It’s built for the kind of person who cares about millisecond timing and custom chart importing. If you’re a StepMania veteran, this is exactly what you want. If you’re a casual player used to the flashy visuals of modern mobile games, you’ll hate it. The UI is clunky and the default songs are forgettable, but the engine itself is solid. It’s a tool for enthusiasts, not a 'game' for the masses. I respect the dedication to the craft, even if it feels archaic.
