Big Mountain Snowboarding hits that sweet spot between a realistic sim and an arcade racer. The tilt controls are some of the best I've used on iOS; they feel responsive without being overly sensitive. Carving through fresh powder and hitting a huge jump feels genuinely exhilarating.
The open-ended nature of the mountain is a big plus. You aren't just confined to a narrow track; you can find your own lines between the trees. The trick system is intuitiveβusing gestures to pull off grabs and spins mid-air adds a nice layer of depth to every run. It's a great way to experience the slopes from your couch.

Version 1.27.3Mon Feb 27 2023
Updated to latest apis
Realistic snowboarding and controls made by real snowboarders. 16 huge unique trails let you jump off cliffs, bomb down chutes, and head to the park.
The controls include snowboard carving, skidding, and switching between goofy and regular whenever you want. Jump off 1,000-foot cliffs. Use downhill momentum to go up ramps. Tuck to bomb down the mountain. Explore different paths down the slopes and have fun.
The 1.24 update gives you two ways to control your snowboard. There's the traditional tilt control with touching the screen causing you to stand up and turn faster, and new touch steering controls. If you pick the new controls from the options menu you can drag your thumb around to turn, add a second touch to stand up, or swipe up to start a jump. There's also an option to stand by default and touch to tuck if you preferred the old controls.

When you hit a jump, swipe in different directions to perform tricks. To land successfully, ensure your board is aligned with the slope of the mountain before touching down. Landing 'flat' will cause you to lose speed or wipe out.
In Slalom, you must pass through gates in a specific order. Precision is more important than speed here; missing a gate adds a significant time penalty to your run.
Yes, you can toggle between a close-up third-person view and a wider angle to see more of the mountain.
