I remember when games used to be original. Now, as soon as a game like Vampire Survivors becomes a hit, we get fifty clones like Blob Hero within a month. It’s functional, I’ll give it that. The 'bullet hell' survival loop is inherently addictive, but this version feels soul-less. The 'blob' character is as generic as it gets, and the power-ups are all the usual suspects: faster fire rate, more health, spinning orbs.
It doesn't bring anything new to the table. The progression is the standard mobile 'pay for gems to get more base stats' which ruins the balance of a proper roguelike. It’s playable, and if you've never played a 'survivor' game before, you might find it fun for an hour. But for anyone who has played the real thing, this feels like a cheap imitation made to capitalize on a trend. Stick to the originals.
