Block Dash Watch is a masterclass in 'just one more try' gameplay, specifically designed for the quick-burst sessions that define mobile gaming. It’s a twitch-reflex runner where you control a block navigating through an increasingly chaotic obstacle course. The controls are incredibly responsive, which is vital because the game demands millisecond precision. The minimalist aesthetic works in its favor, keeping the focus on the gameplay and ensuring the framerate stays silky smooth.

What’s particularly cool is its Apple Watch integration. While it’s definitely harder to play on the wrist, it's a fun novelty that actually works quite well for short waits in line. The music is pulsing and energetic, perfectly matching the speed of the dash. It lacks the depth of a full-scale platformer, but as a pure test of hand-eye coordination, it’s highly effective and satisfyingly difficult.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun here. Look, I’m 40 years old. If I want to play a game, I’ll sit down and play a game. The idea of squinting at my wrist to move a block with a tiny dial is... not my idea of a good time. Block Dash works, and the use of the Digital Crown is actually clever, but that's about as far as the praise goes.

It’s a distraction for when you’re waiting for the bus and don't even want to take your phone out of your pocket. The gameplay is as basic as it gets, and after five minutes, you've seen everything. It’s a tech demo for WatchOS. If you must play games on your watch, this is fine, but don't expect anything remotely substantial.
