I’ve always liked the physical board game, and Digidiced did a fantastic job with this port. It’s a clean, no-nonsense translation of the rules. For those who haven't played, don't let the 'bean farming' theme fool you—this is a game of manipulation and cold-hearted trading. The 'Duel' version is much faster than the original and feels more aggressive, which I prefer.

The UI is functional, though it feels a bit 'flat' and dated compared to modern digital CCGs. The AI is decent, providing a good challenge for when you can’t find a human opponent, though nothing beats the psychological warfare of playing against a real person. It’s a niche title, but for fans of Euro-style board games, it’s a high-quality addition to your phone. It’s refreshing to play a card game where success depends on your wits rather than how many rare cards you bought.

In the two-player-version Bohnanza – The duel, the two bean farmers offer each other gifts of beans they don‘t want for themselves, ideally ones that their opponent can‘t make use of, either. Cleverly combining the types of beans on the fields allows them to fulfil bonus tasks. The player who manages to earn the most bean dollars wins the game.
