Thu Feb 18 2016 LetsBeKingsThe art, the music, the voice talents, the detail, the storyline... I cannot sum up how much I love this into one review. The storyline and setting is never-before-seen. You don't just play the game, you go on an adventure with it. I will admit, I was a bit confused and skeptical at first about whether I would actually get through the game. But that's the fun of it, you realize - you grow into these worlds piece by piece with every conversation and every move you make. It's impossible to know what's coming next; I was surprised several times, it's pleasantly unpredictable. It's 100% worth the money. It's cute, it's fun, and although at first I had the feeling it was made for a younger age group, this is definitely meant for everyone. So, again, the whole idea is an incredible one. I wish I could give it more stars and I wish more people knew about it. I will also admit I needed walkthroughs several times, but it's more fun having to figure it out yourself. GET THIS APP.
Has pro and cons
Mon Dec 30 2019 kelly10601The game was amazing and had beautiful graphics and all, but if you aren’t a fan of puzzle game then I don’t suggest you buy this game. You would have to be prepared because each puzzle has it ways to solve them only if you can find the references for them and if not then you would be completely stuck and there is really no point of going online to look for answers because the game want the person to find it on their own. The ending is also not something you expect in a game like this and it also leave a lot of questions unanswered, but leave it up to the player to interpret the ending differently to their own liking. Even though the game has it down there are also up like being able to enjoy the different animation sequences that are in the game and as well how the game put everything together which make it flow so seamlessly there is a lot of go back and front with the two different characters which is an easier way for one to understand the puzzles. Overall I believe the game is amazing, but not amazing enough to exactly give it five star, but it is a challenging game for the people would love a good challenge.
High Detail, Interactive Cartoon
Sat Jan 14 2017 DelleeComeOn1st, I think I should say that it wasn't really my style of game: an interactive cartoon that was like a very creative movie. But still a cartoon (like for kids). But with that being said, I still enjoyed it and can't really find anything wrong with it.
At first it seems super simple. But once you get to the halfway point it is much harder. But both parts do require a lot of wandering around, and wondering what to do. Which isn't so bad as the scenes and people are interesting. But it does get frustrating, in which I used a walkthrough often. It's fun if you can figure it out, but I only have so much time.
I encountered no glitches surprisingly, as it takes up a lot of space. I would make sure you have an extra gigabyte or two at least after downloading to allow room for loading.
Anyways, I ultimately did enjoy this game and its conclusion. I think it would be an awesome game to play with others on TV, especially as a family. If they make another game like this, maybe make it more for adults and a little less wandering and wondering.

But I needed to go out of my way to write a review on this AMAZING game. Sadly this game took my three days to finish and that was because I was hooked. I tried to prolong the impending end as I could but I was hooked. The design and art of the game is breathtaking as well as the plot. Usually one-point click games can get boring really fast but the story and plot it kept you on your toes. The puzzles you had to solve some were really hard and it was a real challenge which is what I love. And no matter how challenging it was and how frustrating it was to solve I still kept coming back to it because I needed to know how the story progressed. I'm praying they come out with a sequel but if they can't at least make another game similar to this with a whole new storyline, adventures and puzzles because there WILL NEVER BE A GAME LIKE THIS.

Sun Apr 10 2016 EmmaTheMarionetteWhen I played the game, I had tons of fun, and when I saw those credits, I was in tears! This is a game where you can relate to the characters, even though we don't have mogs, spaceships, living yarn, and and people that live on clouds.
This is a game that all ages will enjoy. I would love a sequel that gives people another game that they will remember forever. But there is one thing about this game that makes me sad, it's because this game is great, when you play it for the first time, but when you complete it, you can't get that same feeling of happiness because you know where to find items and how to solve the puzzles, this is why I would love to see a sequel to this, I know you are possibly working to make great games, but really, please make a sequel, it could give the people who played this game another adventure with Vella and Shay. Thanks!
Worth every penny!
Fri Jan 05 2018 DannykozThis game is WONDERFUL. It seems a bit juvenile when you first start, but give it time and you’ll find yourself immersed and invested in an intricate, innovative storyline. Don’t be afraid to use the walkthrough to help you through sticky points now and then; as satisfying as it is to figure it out on your own, there are a couple sequences that need to be done in a very specific order. I also recommend taking the time to ask every character every question and watch all cutscenes. The voice acting in this game is just as valuable as the gameplay itself!!! With the talents of Elijah Wood, Wil Wheaton, Jack Black, and many more, not to mention witty dialogue and adult humor, it’s well worth the extra time it takes to watch the scenes, not only for the game information, but for the entertainment.
Bottom Line, I love this game and I think you will too. Enjoy!

Everything about this was so funny, and the fact that you caught me off guard with a couple plot twists that I never saw coming is awesome! And then it becomes a bit funny because the game kinda rubs it in your face that they caught you off guard, making the characters say what you thought was going to happen.
The only problems I had was that the voices glitched at least one time in each and every convo someone had with someone else. Like, everything a person spoke, their voice glitched once and then when the other person spoke, they would glitch once- so on and so forth. It seems like it would be a pretty big problem and in any other game, it would be- but THIS game is fantastic!
I'm a little unsatisfied with the ending, if I was honest- but that's probably just me. I am pretty much not sated with any ending.
A Work of Art
Mon Dec 26 2016 TheWeird55This game is breathtakingly beautiful. Witching the first several minutes, I felt I had immersed in this world of awe and wonder. While it may be a point-and-click style game, there is so much more to it than that. Beautiful visuals and backdrops, amazing and hilarious dialogue from a great voice cast, and just an all around great feel to the game. The puzzles are amazing and never really spell out for you exactly what you need to do, which adds to the fun of this game, as you get the chance to think your way through the game rather than being led through it. My only complaint is that every so often the game would crash, but it autosaves every time you enter a different area, so I never really lost any save progress. All in all, this game is amazing, and I would recommend anyone to buy it and experience the beauty of Broken Age.
A True Creative Masterpiece

Now that I was extremely fortunate enough to get it on Super Sale and have played it....I know I would have gladly went back and paid the original price that the developers deserved- and then some. I am a bit of an app addict and have played a LOT of iPad games. Non even compare to the level of creative writing, musical talent, superb voice acting, gorgeous artwork, and over-all level of genius and obvious heart I saw was put into this "game". "Masterpiece" would be a much more appropriate word. Clearly, I am pretty blown away here lol. To the consumer: do yourself a favor & experience this long & delightful journey for yourself. To all the artists who created it: THANK YOU. SO. MUCH. 🤗
One of the best point and click games I've played.
Fri Jan 20 2017 GalacticBossanovaI've played all the Leisure Suit Larry games, and most of the King's Quest and Space Quest games, and this one is up there with the best of them. It's Day of the Tentacle quality. And if you know what that means, that means you're also probably on your thirties and also have been looking for a "modern" game these last ten years or so that captures what that game and games like it captured. Well my old gaming friends, this game does it. Great writing, excellent voice acting, and puzzles that are fun to solve without being too challenging. (OK, honestly, the puzzles aren't that clever, but the writing and superb acting make up for it.) I got this game on sale, but I would still have felt like I got a bargain if I had paid $20 for it. I can't wait for more games from this developer.
