The open-world environment is expansive, offering a nice mix of urban navigation and highway cruising that tests your patience and precision.

The level of customization is where this game truly shines. You aren't just stuck with a stock vehicle; the garage options for vinyls, rims, and paint jobs allow for a high degree of creative expression. While there is a $1.99 entry fee to unlock the full map experience, the quality of the graphics—especially the day/night cycles—justifies the small investment for serious simulation enthusiasts. The addition of an online multiplayer mode also adds a layer of longevity, allowing you to cruise with friends or challenge strangers in a shared world.

Dinsun Review

Simulation is a tough genre to get right on mobile, and Bus Simulator Max makes a valiant effort. The driving physics are actually somewhat weighty, which I appreciate. You can't just throw a 40-foot bus around a corner at 60mph and expect things to go well. However, the world feels dead. The pedestrians are mannequins, and the AI traffic is either brain-dead or telepathically aggressive. It lacks the immersion required to make the 'grind' of a daily route feel like a profession rather than a chore.

The customization is a nice touch, but the economy is clearly tuned to keep you driving for pennies until you get frustrated and check the microtransaction store. It's better than most of the shovelware on the store, but it's still lightyears away from a true simulator. It’s the kind of game that’s 'fine' for a quick session, but fails to hold interest over the long haul.
