Cats are Cute: Cat Town Idle in IOS

A Relaxing Cat-Collecting Game

85/100

Cats are Cute is the ultimate 'healing' game. In a world of high-stress battle royales, this title offers a gentle sanctuary where the only goal is to make your feline residents happy. The hand-drawn, doodle-like art style is incredibly charming and gives the game a personal, indie feel that polished 3D graphics often lack. It’s the kind of game you open for five minutes to de-stress and end up staying for thirty.

The loop of collecting fish, upgrading buildings, and discovering new cats is satisfyingly paced. Each cat comes with its own little bio and specific behavior, which makes the town feel alive. The mini-games like hide-and-seek and 'look at me' are simple but add enough interactivity to keep it from being a purely passive experience. It’s a wonderful, cozy title for anyone who just needs a digital hug and some cute kittens.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun here. Look, I’m 40 years old; I don’t usually coo over digital kittens. But Cats are Cute has a specific, hand-drawn charm that I can appreciate from a design standpoint. As a 'game,' however, it’s paper-thin. It’s an idle clicker where you tap on cats to get resources to buy more cats.

The 'mini-games' like hide-and-seek or RPS are barely interactive. It’s a game for people who want to look at something nice while they wait for a progress bar to fill. It avoids being too predatory with its ads, which is a plus, but there’s no strategy or real management involved. It’s pure fluff. If you like cats, it’s a fine distraction, but don’t expect a 'game' with any bite.
