I remember when this first came out; it was a breath of fresh air then, and it still is now. The fact that every asset was hand-molded in clay gives the game a tactile soul that CGI just can't replicate. It’s charming, weird, and surprisingly polished. The physics feel right—squashing smaller monsters to gain mass has a satisfying 'thud' to it, and the flick-based combat at the end of each hill is a nice change of pace.
Returning as a 'Classic' edition without the modern mobile rot of ads and microtransactions makes it even better. It’s a pure experience. While the core gameplay is relatively simple—mostly steering and squashing—the progression of rebuilding the clay hills keeps you coming back. It’s one of the few games I’d actually recommend to people with kids, but I found myself getting sucked in too. It’s not overly challenging, but the artistry alone is worth the entry fee.
