Courtyard Trading Cards is less of a 'game' and more of a financial revolution for collectors. The concept of owning high-value physical assets that are secured in a vault but tradable digitally is a game-changer. I was skeptical at first, but the high-resolution 3D scans provide more detail than you could see with the naked eye, allowing you to inspect every corner of a Gem Mint 10 Charizard before you buy.

The integration with Brink’s for security and the transparency of the blockchain records provide a peace of mind that eBay simply cannot match. It removes the 'fear of shipping' from high-end trading. Being able to buy a card at 2 PM and sell it at 3 PM without it ever leaving the vault is the efficiency the hobby has been waiting for. It’s essential for any serious TCG investor.

I’ve been around since the early days of Magic: The Gathering, and Courtyard Trading Cards feels like it was built by financiers rather than game designers. The 'gameplay' is secondary to the 'collecting.' It’s all about rarities and trading, but once you actually get the cards on the table, the rules are simplistic and balanced poorly. It’s clear they want you to spend money on packs to find 'value,' but the cards have no value if the game isn't fun to play.

The UI is cluttered with marketplace stats and trending prices, which is the last thing I want to see in a game. It feels like a job. The art on the cards is inconsistent—some look great, others look like AI-generated filler. If you want a deep TCG experience, go play Hearthstone or MTG Arena. Courtyard is for people who like spreadsheets and speculation more than tactics. A massive disappointment for someone who values actual card mechanics.
