Crossword Puzzle 3D in IOS

I grew up with the Sunday Times crossword. There’s a certain dignity to a well-constructed word puzzle. This '3D' version feels like a gimmick designed to distract you from the fact that the actual word design is mediocre at best. Rotating a cube to find the next letter isn't a 'new gameplay mechanic'; it’s an unnecessary hurdle that makes the interface more clunky than it needs to be. For an old-school gamer, the tactile feel of a grid is paramount, and wrestling with touch-screen camera angles just to solve a four-letter word for 'feline' is an exercise in frustration.

The puzzles themselves lack the clever wordplay or cryptic depth found in dedicated crossword publications. Most of the clues are literal and uninspired. While the 3D models are technically competent, they don't add enough to the 'fun' factor to justify the shift. It’s a classic case of modern developers trying to fix something that wasn't broken by adding 'depth' where it wasn't needed. It’s functional, but it lacks the soul of a true puzzle game.
