I’m tired of games that think 'speed' is a substitute for 'content'. CyberRunner is a classic example of style over substance. Sure, the neon look was cool for about five minutes in 2010, but now it just feels like eye strain. The gameplay is as basic as it gets: swipe, jump, repeat.
I’ve played enough of these to know when a developer is just trying to hit a trend. There's no depth here, no progression that feels meaningful. It’s an arcade game that lacks the soul of the true classics. I’ll give it points for technical performance—it’s fast and responsive—but don't expect it to hold your interest once the initial 'wow' of the colors wears off. It’s mediocre.
