Dinsun Review
Dinsun here. I grew up in the arcades, so the 90s aesthetic of Drive Rally immediately got my attention. It’s refreshing to see a racing game that doesn’t try to be a physics textbook. The handling is slidey, forgiving, and reminds me of the days when you didn't need a thousand-dollar steering wheel setup to have fun. The visuals are the standout—the vibrant, chunky style is far more appealing than the 'uncanny valley' graphics most racers chase today.
However, it’s not perfect. The co-driver system is a bit gimmicky and the dialogue can get grating after a few hours. I also found the track variety a bit lacking; you’ll see the same corners more often than you’d like. It’s a 71—a solid, enjoyable racer that knows exactly what it wants to be, but it lacks the depth to keep me coming back for the long haul. It's a great distraction, but not a masterpiece.
