Dinsun Review
I appreciate a game that doesn't hold your hand, and Deity Tomb: Profanation certainly isn't easy. The atmosphere is thick—very 'Diablo-lite'—and the lighting effects actually serve a purpose in the gameplay. It’s a proper dungeon crawl. But as someone who has played the best of the genre like Hades or Dead Cells, this feels a bit sluggish. The movement speed is slow, and the combat doesn't have that 'snappiness' that makes a rogue-lite addictive.
The 'Profanation' mechanic—where you get stronger but the tomb gets deadlier—is a nice touch, but it’s not enough to carry the whole experience. The upgrades between runs feel marginal. You spend an hour playing only to increase your health by 2%. It’s a grind, and not always a rewarding one. It’s a solid B-tier game for when you want something moody on your phone, but it won't be replacing the classics on my device.
