Dinos Royale is exactly the kind of derivative sludge that clogs the App Store. The developers looked at PUBG and Minecraft, slapped them together, and added dinosaurs as a desperate gimmick. The gunplay is remarkably floaty and unsatisfying; hitting a target feels more like a suggestion than a ballistic reality. Furthermore, the 'multiplayer' aspect is highly suspect. I won my first three matches with barely any effort, leading me to conclude that the game heavily populates its servers with brain-dead AI bots to mask a dwindling player base. Riding a T-Rex is amusing for exactly five seconds before the clunky controls and horrible camera angles ruin the novelty. It lacks the polish of Fortnite and the tension of proper shooters. It is a hollow shell of a game, designed solely to funnel players toward ad views.
