I’ve played MMOs since Ultima Online, and it breaks my heart to see what the genre has become on mobile. Dream Road Online is the epitome of the 'auto-play' era. You click a quest, and your character walks there, kills 10 wolves, and walks back—all without you touching the screen.

The graphics are flashy, sure, and there’s a lot of 'stuff' to do, but none of it feels meaningful. It’s a numbers game designed to make you want to increase your 'Power' score by any means necessary, usually involving your credit card. If you want a screensaver that occasionally pings you for money, this is it. If you want a game, look elsewhere.
