Dinsun Review
Finally, something with a bit of character. As a 40-year-old, I relate to the protagonist on a spiritual level. Sometimes you just want a normal beer without someone telling you it was brewed with toasted marshmallows and locally sourced moss. The game uses a classic interface—talk, pick up, use—and it doesn't hold your hand. Some of the puzzles are a bit 'adventure game moon logic' where the solution is nonsensical until you find it, but that’s the genre.
The art style is unique—looks like something out of an indie comic book. It’s not for everyone, but it has more soul than any ten 'hypercasual' games combined. My main gripe is that it’s relatively short, and if you aren't a fan of the hipster-mockery theme, the jokes might wear thin. But for those of us who grew up with Monkey Island, this is a respectable modern entry that understands why those games worked in the first place.
