Dumb Ways to Die 3: World Tour shifts the focus of the franchise from pure reaction-based minigames to an adventurous world-building experience. While the core DNA of 'preventing silly deaths' is still there, you’re now tasked with rebuilding the town of Dumbville and traveling to various themed locations. It’s a refreshing change of pace that adds a layer of motivation beyond just chasing a high score.

The minigames themselves are as charmingly morbid as ever. Whether you're flying a plane through a narrow canyon or skiing down a mountain, the stakes remain high and the Beans remain vulnerable. The art style is vibrant and the humor is spot-on. My only gripe is that the progression can feel a bit grindy at times when you're trying to collect enough coins to repair buildings, but the variety of locations keeps the 'World Tour' feeling like a genuine adventure.

The first two 'Dumb Ways' games were brilliant because they were fast, funny, and simple. This third one feels like it was designed by a committee trying to maximize 'engagement.' Instead of a barrage of mini-games, you’re forced to rebuild a town and wait for timers. The mini-games themselves are still there, but they feel like an afterthought to the grind. There are bugs everywhere—beans flying off-screen, progress not saving. It's a classic case of a developer taking a winning formula and over-complicating it until the fun is squeezed out. I’m too old to wait three hours for a building to finish. Just let me die in a stupid way and get it over with.
