Eat Fish.IO is a delightful and chaotic entry into the popular .io genre. The premise is a classic ocean-themed survival battle: eat smaller fish to grow while avoiding the predators that are larger than you. What sets this apart is the evolution system. Watching your fish transform from a humble goldfish into a 'Legendary Fish' or even a 'Mega Shark' provides a great sense of power and achievement.
The controls are smooth, which is essential for dodging the 'chain-kills' that more experienced players will attempt. I love the addition of different hats and trails, allowing for a bit of personalization in the arena. The two different ocean environments keep the visuals fresh, and the post-battle rewards make each session feel productive. It's a fun, fast-paced arcade game that is perfect for killing a few minutes and seeing how high you can climb on the food chain.
Eat Fish.io is essentially a mobile version of the classic 'Feeding Frenzy' or 'Agar.io' formula. It’s simple, it’s effective, and it’s actually more generous with its rewards than most of its peers. I found myself actually wanting to unlock the whale shark, even if the grind to get the required kills felt a bit artificial.
The game does have some annoying bugs—like the anglerfish that transforms instantly and eats you—but it’s one of the few games on this list that feels like a 'game' rather than a slot machine. The ads are there, but they aren't as suffocating as in Rollic's titles. It’s a decent enough way to kill twenty minutes, but don't expect anything deeper than 'big fish eats little fish.'
Performance: Stable frame rate; some hitbox inconsistencies with certain enemies.
Buy if: You enjoy simple survival/growth games like Slither.io.
Skip if: You hate repetitive grinds for unlocks.

When you are small, stick to the edges of the map where there is less traffic. Focus on eating neutral food until you reach the 'Big Fish' stage.
Use your dash sparingly. It’s your best tool for escaping a predator or catching a fast prey, but it consumes your own size/energy.
You must consistently eat smaller fish to fill your growth bar. Each full bar triggers an evolution to the next tier.
