Evergarden in IOS

A new kind of puzzle game

Walkthrough, Guilds, Tips on this special game

Our Site Score

90/100

Evergarden is a hauntingly beautiful experience that defies the standard 'mobile puzzle' tropes. It feels more like a meditative ritual than a game. You are tasked with merging plants on a hexagonal grid, but the way the world reacts to your moves—with subtle rustles and ethereal lighting—makes it feel alive. The mystery of the forest and the cryptic guidance from your animal companion add a narrative weight that is rare in the genre.

The logic is tight; every move counts as you try to grow your garden before the time runs out. It rewards foresight and planning over fast reflexes. There is a deep, rhythmic quality to the gameplay that is incredibly relaxing, yet the underlying puzzles can be genuinely challenging. It’s a masterclass in atmospheric design and minimalist storytelling.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun here. Evergarden isn't your typical mobile distraction. It’s got an air of mystery that I appreciate—no hand-holding, just a hexagonal grid and a fox watching you fail. You're merging flowers, trying to clear patterns, and managing a limited move count. It’s methodical. The pacing is slow, which is fine for a man my age who doesn't want flashing lights every three seconds.

However, the 'discovery' aspect is a double-edged sword. Sometimes it feels like the game is being cryptic just for the sake of it. I like a challenge, but I don't like feeling like the goalposts moved because of a mechanic the game refused to explain. It's a handsome product, well-crafted and polished, but it lacks that definitive 'hook' to make it a true classic. It's a solid afternoon's work, nothing more.
