Walkthrough

The Core Loop: Adapt and Survive

In Evolution, you'll draw trait cards and play them onto your species. These traits grant abilities like increased food gathering, defense against predators, or the ability to attack other species. You must balance the needs of your population with the ever-changing environment. Food is scarce, and predators are hungry. Will you evolve to be a swift hunter, a well-defended herbivore, or something else entirely? The choices you make will determine the fate of your species.

Building Your Ecosystem

Each species has three basic stats: Population, Body Size, and Attack/Forage. You'll upgrade these stats by playing trait cards. For example, a 'Long Neck' trait allows you to access food sources that others cannot. A 'Hard Shell' trait provides defense against attacks. As you play, you'll create a unique ecosystem with your species interacting with those of your opponents. Can you build a dominant species that can withstand any challenge?
