FINAL FANTASY in IOS

The Ultimate Pixel Remaster

Walkthrough, Guilds, Tips on this special game

Our Expert Score

80/100

The original Final Fantasy is where the legend began, and this Pixel Remaster honors that legacy with incredible reverence. The new 2D art style is vibrant and clean, perfectly capturing the spirit of the 8-bit original while looking sharp on high-resolution mobile screens. The arranged soundtrack is the real highlight, turning simple NES chiptunes into sweeping orchestral pieces that make every battle feel truly epic.

Gameplay-wise, this is the most balanced version of FF1 to date. The addition of an auto-battle feature and the ability to save anywhere makes the dungeon crawling much less punishing. Choosing your party of four—Warrior, Monk, Thief, Red Mage, White Mage, or Black Mage—still offers a surprising amount of strategic depth and replayability. It’s a short, focused journey through the tropes that defined the genre, and in this format, it’s never been more enjoyable to play.
