This isn't a game; it's a Skinner Box with a fishing theme. You tap a button, watch a bar go down, and get a reward. Then you do it again. The upgrades are the only 'progression,' and they are tuned to make you feel like you're making progress when you're really just keeping up with the rising requirements for the next level. I find this style of 'idle-lite' gameplay to be an insult to the hobby. There's no skill involved in the fishing itself. It’s a repetitive slog designed to make you watch ads to double your earnings. I've seen this exact template used for mining, lumberjacking, and now fishing. It’s lazy.
