I’ll admit, the food looks great. The developers clearly spent a lot of time on the assets because everything from the glistening steak to the frosted cakes looks appetizing. It’s a very calm experience, and for the first few levels, it’s quite therapeutic to just arrange plates and choose the right lighting. It’s a 'game' in the loosest sense, more of a creative tool.
But then the monetization kicks in. To get the 'good' items that will actually win votes from the community, you either have to grind for an eternity or open your wallet. It turns a relaxing hobby into a frustrating competition of who has the deepest pockets. The social aspect is okay, but the voting system feels arbitrary. It’s a nice app to look at, but it’s hard to recommend as a rewarding game long-term.
