Fugglers: Reckless Runner perfectly captures the weird, slightly unsettling charm of the physical toys. It’s a standard lane-based runner at its core, but the skin and attitude it wears make it stand out. The character animations are great—they move with a clumsy, frantic energy that is exactly what you'd expect from a Fuggler.

The level of polish is surprisingly high for a licensed game. The obstacles are varied, and the speed ramps up at a fair pace. It’s definitely geared toward a younger audience with its 'gross-out' humor, but the gameplay is solid enough for anyone who enjoys a good arcade runner.

While it doesn't break new ground in the genre, it’s a fun, quirky diversion that Fuggler collectors will absolutely love. It’s weird, it’s fast, and it’s unapologetically ugly in the best way possible.

I’m clearly not the target audience for Fugglers. The whole 'ugly-cute' aesthetic just looks like a mess to me. As an endless runner, it’s about as basic as they come. Swipe left, swipe right, jump, slide. We’ve been doing this since Temple Run, and Reckless Runner adds exactly zero new ideas to the formula. The speed is decent, but the hitboxes feel inconsistent, which is frustrating in a genre that requires precision.

The game is loud, both visually and aurally. It screams for attention with every animation. It’s obviously a tie-in for the toys, and it feels like it. There’s no passion here, just a brand being applied to a template. If you love these weird little monsters, maybe you’ll get a kick out of seeing them run, but as a gamer, I want something more than a licensed skin on a ten-year-old gameplay model. It’s functional, but it's obnoxious.
