Garten of Banban 4 continues the franchise's descent into absolute surrealism, pushing the mascot horror genre into even stranger territory. As an expert in psychological horror, I found the introduction of the 'Kingdom' sub-level and characters like Bittergiggle to add a unique layer of theatricality to the experience. The game excels at making you feel unwelcome in its brightly-lit, yet terrifyingly empty, spaces.

The puzzle design remains consistent, with a focus on drone interaction, but the environmental storytelling has become more prominent. You spend less time running and more time piecing together the bizarre history of the kindergarten and the people who ran it. It’s a chapter that prioritizes world-building and lore over pure adrenaline, making it a treat for dedicated fans of the series. While the gameplay loop is familiar, the sheer imaginative weirdness of the character designs keeps the experience feeling fresh and unpredictable.

Dinsun here. We’re at number four, and the quality is in a freefall. At this point, the developers aren't even trying to make a horror game; they're making a toy commercial. The puzzles are non-existent, the 'scares' are predictable, and the plot has become a tangled mess of mascot names and neon-colored nonsense.

It’s a conservative review because it’s a cynical product. It’s designed to be consumed and discarded like a fast-food wrapper. The performance is spotty, the graphics are archaic, and the gameplay loop is a hollow shell. If this is the future of indie horror on mobile, I want no part of it. Four games in a year is a red flag, and this is the biggest one yet.
