This is what I’m talking about. Get Together is a real game. It doesn't care about your 'energy' or your 'daily login.' It cares about whether or not you can actually talk to another human being. It’s very similar to 'Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes,' but with a much more poetic and atmospheric vibe. My wife and I played through this, and it was one of the most engaging gaming experiences I’ve had in years.

The puzzles are clever because they aren't just about what you see; they're about how you describe what you see. The art style is gorgeous and somber, avoiding the neon-colored headaches of most mobile stores. It’s short—you’ll finish it in an afternoon—but it’s an afternoon well spent. It’s a bit of a hassle to set up since you need two copies, but for the price of a coffee, it’s a steal. This is why I still play games.
