Dinsun here. I’ve seen enough of these hypercasual 'distance' games to know the pattern, and Golf Orbit doesn't do much to break the mold. It’s built on a singular mechanic: timing a tap on a needle. While there is a brief, primal satisfaction in seeing a golf ball blast through the stratosphere and knock into a planet, that dopamine hit wears off faster than the flight itself. The progression is a treadmill where you're just clicking buttons to make numbers go up so you can see the same animation play out for a few seconds longer.
The game is bloated with forced advertisements that interrupt the flow of what is already a very thin experience. It lacks any real nuance or physics-based strategy that one might expect from a 'golf' title, even an arcade one. It’s a Skinner box in bright colors. If you’re looking for a distraction for three minutes at a bus stop, it functions, but as a piece of software worth your dedicated time? Hard pass. It's the fast food of gaming—engineered to be addictive for a moment, but ultimately devoid of substance.
