As someone who grew up with the original Mattel line, this hurts. Battle for Eternia is a classic example of 'IP-slapping'—taking a beloved franchise and stretching it over a skeletal action game. The combat is mindless; you’ll find yourself tapping the screen with zero tactical consideration. It feels more like a chore than a heroic defense of Eternia.
The visuals try to capture that retro aesthetic, but they come off as low-budget rather than stylistic. It's missing the soul of the source material. Where’s the weight? Where’s the challenge? It’s designed for short bursts, clearly targeting people with no attention span, but even then, the repetition sets in within ten minutes. If you want He-Man, go buy the classic figures or watch the old show. This game is just noise.
