Finally, a game on this list that feels like a game. Hero's Land: Grimloot is a standard ARPG, but it executes the basics well enough to keep me interested for a few hours. The 'Grimloot' lands are sufficiently dark and moody, and the monster variety is decent. I’ve played Diablo and its many clones for decades, so I know the drill: kill, loot, repeat.

The mechanics are tight, though the touch controls can get messy when the screen fills up with enemies. I found the crafting system a bit overly complex for a mobile game—sometimes I just want to equip a sword and go, not manage three types of magical dust. It’s a bit of a grind, but unlike the slot apps, this grind actually results in tangible progress. It doesn't redefine the genre, and it definitely won't replace a proper PC RPG, but it’s a respectable effort for the platform.
