Dinsun Review
I’ve spent time with 'The Hunter: Call of the Wild' on PC, so my expectations for a hunting sim are quite specific. Hunting USA feels like a step backward. The core 'hunting' consists of walking through sparse, muddy-looking environments until an animal pops into view with very little warning. The AI of the animals is basic; they either ignore you or bolt in a straight line with glitchy animations.
The shooting mechanics are functional, but the ballistics feel floaty and unrealistic. For a game that claims to be a simulator, it lacks the depth of tracking, scent management, and equipment variety that makes the genre interesting. It feels more like a target gallery with a walking simulator attached. It’s hard to recommend this when there are far superior options on the platform that actually capture the tension of the hunt.
