The theme is purely cosmetic; you aren't actually managing a cinema, you're just managing timers and spreadsheets disguised as popcorn stands.
The game is tuned to slow down significantly after the first thirty minutes, practically forcing you to watch ads for 'boosts' or spend money on premium currency to keep the pace remotely engaging. As a 40-year-old gamer who remembers when sims had actual depth—like Theme Hospital or SimCity—this kind of shallow, profit-driven design is insulting.
