Mon Dec 18 2023 happygooseyI don’t want to seem like those people that always put five star ratings, but I absolutely love this game. I feel like I sound like an ad when I say this, but the game has great graphics, it’s time consuming, and the events (Halloween 🎃 Event, Christmas 🎄 Event, etc.) are so fun. And mowing the lawns and getting promotions are weirdly satisfying, if you know what I mean. I once spent two hours straight playing Just Mowing so I could mow enough lawns to get my ninth promotion. I’ve been playing this game for three years, and never even considered deleting it. I know, yes, there are ads. But it’s only like once every ten minutes. And they’re like short, twenty second ads. Not those thirty second boring ads that add another ten seconds while you wait for the little X at the top of the screen to appear. I know this is a longer review (longer than I normally write), but that’s just to show how much I love this game. I have two of the other games made by these developers, Protostar (I think is how you spell it, sorry if I did spell it wrong), downloaded. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a calming game to pass the time, or if you just want to do something on your phone that isn’t watching Tic Toc or scrolling through Social Media. Thank you Protostar for making this game!! Again, I definitely 100% 💯 recommend!!!

Tue Aug 10 2021 iridaceaeThis is a great game! I have been playing daily for several weeks now. Very simple and not overwhelming, calming and strangely fun despite how simple it is, artwork is cute and I like the animal collections, the totals of lawns and streets mowed and even blades of grass cut! No energy system so you can mow as much as you want. Only “consequence” is that you have room for only four toolboxes so if you continue to mow after those slots are filled you will not collect any more toolboxes until space opens up after opening one. Not a big deal IMO. I did pay to remove ads because it is such a nicely designed game but if you don’t want to pay anything you just have to go through an ad for every couple lawns mowed—again, no big deal. Plenty of ways to earn gems without paying so this is a game you can play for free and have a lot of fun and make all the progress you want. The customizations are very cute, I just wish we could customize our character’s face more (like choose everything from hair color and style, eye color, skin color) instead of having all of that predetermined and also their clothing, but even if that isn’t a thing there is a lot you can do with the mower and the hats. Oh and I really wish you could wear a hat and glasses at the same time!

Sun Jul 10 2022 B. CapriOkay… this game is great and when I say that I mean it. I have had this game for awhile and enjoy playing it. Not only do you customize your own mower but you also can find different types of: Butterflies, dogs, cats, and birds which has a picture and information next to it talk about the animal in just 5 sentences. Another big thing I love about this game is you also mow sports fields. Now that may seem just like a place you mow but you can actually play them! The sports that are included in this game is volleyball, baseball, soccer, basketball, and football. You also just mow fields that have an image under the grass and explains what it’s about. But I have a “big/small” request… Okay so at the end of every street you get a toolbox that inside is something you can add to your mower and there’s a few different types but you only have 4 slots and it takes hours and sometimes a day depending on the toolbox and you can speed up the process of it by buying with your diamonds earned by finding animals and a bunch of other stuff but what if you don’t have enough diamonds and it gets expensive as it starts out depending on how much times left or what type of box it is well say that happened ( it happens to me) you don’t get the toolbox!!!! I personally think you should do something to fix this. But that really is all I have to say about this game and overall I really like it OH also for those ad haters: guess what there are rarely ads so yay. Okay this game is great but please take up my request please! Okay well that’s all I have to say BYE ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Sun Aug 16 2020 JessiBear17I absolutely love this game. I’ve played it every day for the past 70 days (since I first downloaded it) and have not gotten sick of it. With all of the stress that the pandemic has brought, I look forward to playing this every evening or even when I need a quick break from work. The only thing I ask is if we could have the option to turn the little hint on and off at the end of each lawn. Sometimes there will be patches that I go back to at the end and I have every intention of mowing them, but it drives me mad when the game frantically shows me that I’ve forgotten a patch. Very rarely has this feature come in handy, and it has actually added some anxiety to the game which I believe defeats the purpose. To the game developers: PLEASE make this an option in the future. Otherwise, this game is awesome. 5 stars regardless of the annoying flashing when you still have blades of grass to mow. I understand that it’s for those moments when you’ve missed a piece, but again, I’m often reminded even when it’s just an area that I need to go back to.
Edit: I just updated the app and now my green visor is gone. I thought I had earned that in a toolbox. Can we please keep the items that we unlock?

This game used to be so fun and relaxing, but unfortunately there have been some changes that really took away from it. They added a shop in the middle of the houses that forces you to stop which is super annoying because it destroys the flow. And why should you have to stop at the shop if you don’t want to purchase anything? Also, even if you pay the $6 to remove adds, it constantly asks you if you want to watch adds to get more gems. This should be an option that you click into from the menu, not a constant interruption that ruins the relaxing feeling of the game. I also noticed that they removed a lot of the cool layouts of houses and buildings and replaced them with weird and boring random farms in the middle of town which are not cute or fun and make no sense. Before, you would get really interesting upgrades to your character like fruit wheels pretty quickly which added variety and made the game motivating. These are gone now, at least in the beginning and the upgrades just feel more mainstream and realistic, which is not motivating at all. I also feel like the creators just don’t care anymore. For example I just saw a house with huge candy canes in March that they didn’t bother updating after the holidays. I was excited to play the game again and relax but I just don’t find it relaxing anymore :(

I might have a problem because when my phone is about to die I rush to the nearest charger and immediately plug it in. If it dies on the way I cry 😭😭 because I’m sent back to my very real and very sad reality. What do I do!?!! I haven’t been to work in years. What if my boss fired me!! I can’t live with that reality… I can’t live with any reality if I does not consist of literally just mowing. I’m even sad right now because I am not playing this game and I learned that there is no mowing emoji. 🔪🏡 THAT is the closest thing to mowing… cutting grass… well with emojis. ✂️⛳️ this could work as well or 💇🏠… that is a stretch but anyway this game is super polished! It is so polished that when I play the game sometimes I see myself or my soul… Now that I think about it… maybe mowing is my soul… maybe mowing is the answer to everything. MAYBE MOWING IS THE ANSWER TO LIFE AND EVERY SINGLE QUESTION THAT HAS NO ANSWER AND MAYBE EVEN ONES WE THOUGHT WE KNEW!! Maybe… or life is just a matrix and this game is not real or maybe I’m not real or any thing… Did we really go to the moon?… wait this is a review… anyway the game is good 👍🏼 and you will love it… trust me I’m the most normal person. 🫠

Tue Mar 18 2025 iamsionainnI downloaded this game around a time when I was feeling very low, and I truly credit it to being an uplifting fun thing to do daily that distracted me from what was going on in life. I’ve played every event, bought everything in the store (with the easy-to-earn gems ofc), have surpassed the highest rank to where now my ‘promotions’ are even more gems, heck I even bought the ad-free feature which I never do (that was a while back, not sure they even still do/offer that). Anyways, with the recent update my only gripe got fixed which was that it was literally impossible to finish my farm animal collection due to one rare animal not showing up. The morning after I downloaded that update and played, I found it and officially completed my entire animal collection which made me happy! My only notes would be to add more dimension! Maybe a “build your own lawn” feature where we can make our own unique lawn layouts that can be published, played, and rated by others! Or an attachable companion seat where any animal that has been collected can sit in for the ride! I’d also love to see way more customization options for the characters since it’s so limited. It would be so fun to have more of a “master pallet” in that sense where we could essentially make our OWN built-from-scratch avatar. Anyways this game is absolutely great. I don’t think I could ever delete it unless it stopped getting updates- which I will add that more stuff needs to come out with the holidays. It’s a bummer when one comes around and the event only gives the bare minimum. Besides that, I haven’t skipped a day in years and plan on keeping my streak! Keep up the great work devs!

Tue May 12 2020 kaynoh_I enjoy this game and I think the premise is great. The style is cute, and it fulfills the promise of satisfaction. I think it would be fun to add a feature where you can collect items like flower seeds and fence blueprints to cultivate a property that you own, maybe even mow your own lawn once a day to get items. There are just a few things that irritate me: 1) The mute button on the ads does not work until the skip button appears, meaning I have to listen to the first 3-5 seconds of every ad. 2) The animation meant to highlight the last few blades of grass you may have missed is rough on the eyes, and largely unnecessary. I wish it was optional, or at least delayed another couple of seconds. 3) The birds move so quickly that I often miss them, and my mowing path goes awry as a result. It's distracting, instead of interesting. 4) This one doesn't bother me as much, but the limit on toolboxes discourages me from continuing to play, and then I forget to come back for days at a time. A toolbox that takes 24 hours to unlock doesn't seem like a great business model, especially since the epic parts don't offer much difference from any others. Faster, cheaper toolboxes would be much more motivating, and generate momentum for both gameplay and gem-spending.
