amazing game
Wed May 29 2024 hdjenehrwhere to start… ever since i started sliding it has consumed my life. I have lost my wife, kids and subsequently my house. But gosh I can’t help myself from sliding every time I wake up in the morning. The joy of clearing rows and slowly improving my skills have really made me appeased with the fact I have lost my job over this game. The way the frozen blocks have a perfect ratio to the fire stones makes yearn to slide even more. The emptiness I feel when I see the blocks turn grey is immediately nullified when I remember that there is a new path waiting for me at the next game. New blocks remind me of new opportunities and how it unshackles my burdens from the stigma of living alone and spending my days sliding.
The Playability Though
Sat Jun 12 2021 PM871In concept, I really like this game and, despite serious flaws, I play it a lot. But there are a few annoyances that if fixed would make this game a lot better. First, the hints come too soon and too often. What fun is it trying to figure out moves when they are given to you before having the chance to think it through? Please add an option to turn off hints. Second, the blocks that cause popups - this was added at some point and it detracts substantially from the game. Third, there are times when big blocks are added repeatedly such that there are no good moves at all. And, guess what? No hints come either because there are no moves at all… Losing can’t be helped then and when you’re up to 50,000 or more and that happens, it’s maddening! Fourth, it would be better to add just 1 new row at a time. Again, with 3 or 4 rows added all at once, losing often is the only possible outcome. Fifth, and most annoying, I have lost games when only one row from the top is left and I complete a row, but the new row is added before my completed row is removed! Completed rows should always be removed first!!! Finally, even making the stack 1 or 2 rows taller would help the playability.
EDIT: Today I got an ad in the MIDDLE of playing the game! I couldn’t continue until it finished. Today is the day I stopped playing and will be deleting this app. That’s the last straw. The developers ruined this game.
Fun at first, now infuriating
Thu Jan 12 2023 EmalenkeelingThis was fun at first, I liked the concept. But now every time I play I just get mad. First of all, I hate hate hate the pop up for the Firestone block. It completely takes me out of the game. It’s very very annoying. What would be nice is if you watched an ad 1 time to get the Firestone and then you have it for the rest of that particular session.
Secondly, this game probably has the single worst RNG I have ever seen in a game. There are times where I literally can’t do anything because my ENTIRE screen is filled up with the blocks that take up 3/4 spaces. I’ve noticed that that happens more often than not lately. It’s frustrating because no matter how well I’m playing, I get screwed by RNG and lose. I haven’t been able to beat my high score in weeks. You hear that folks? WEEKS. And I play this game every day. I saw another person mention that they’ll drop a block into place to complete a row and wouldn’t you know, it falls into the next row without completing the initial row it was dropped in. Completed rows should ALWAYS take priority.
Thirdly, I think the freezing blocks is just too much. It feels like I’m being punished for playing well. There are times when the game recommends a move that takes care of that particular row, but because there was a frozen block there, I lose the game.
All in all, I think I’m going to stop playing. It gets pretty boring and repetitive to see the same problems over and over again.
I want to solve a puzzle, not be given the answer
Thu Dec 01 2022 Uncle FungisIt’s a fun concept, but I deleted it after 5 minutes of gameplay. It just doesn’t give you the chance to actually solve the puzzle or play it strategically. If there is a move that can break a line, and you take more than a few seconds (literally 3-5 seconds) to look at your upcoming moves, it gives you the answer. Straight up tells you which block to move. Let’s say you have 5 rows built up, and you are planning your next move. The new row gets added to the bottom, and you start at the top, planning how you’re going to play it out. The game ruins the entire experience by practically moving the “right” block for you when you haven’t even had time to look at the row yet.
This wouldn’t be a problem at all if the developers would just add a simple toggle in the settings to allow/disable hints. Reading the reviews, this was complained about over 2 years ago, and the dev’s response was, “Thanks for playing our game.”
You can find plenty of other games that give you the same puzzle without the infuriating handholding. Don’t waste your time on this.
Fun game until today
Thu Apr 27 2023 all-in-the-cardsI’ve been doing the daily challenge puzzles each morning. I’ve found them a relaxing way to start my day. Until today. The puzzle for today has a flaw. The very first screen is impossible to advance from. It’s made up of several target tiles on the left side. Immediately to the right are a stack of stone tiles that cannot be moved. The only move able tiles are trapped therefore you can’t move on yo the next screen. OOPS! Frustrating!
Update: I received a message asking me to update the app. All well and good but there’s no way to do a simple update so I tried reinstalling it.
That resulted in having no daily challenges at all.
Too bad I’ll be removing the app altogether. I really liked the daily challenges. Having to start a new game every day is like starting grade school every day.
To the developers: if you have to ask for a 5 star rating, your app has a problem.
Bad app support
Fri Sep 29 2023 DahliadaydreamsI've been playing this game daily for several months and have really enjoyed it, but ultimately the poor app support is why I'm leaving a low review. Today, the app continually crashed within 10 seconds of playing the daily puzzle. I went to report the issue, and their "app support" is a Facebook page. So those of us who don't use Facebook can't get support. So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling since there was no pushed update, and now I can't access the daily puzzle. Why is there a play requirement to have access to that feature? Also, they don't respond to emails with questions about the game, have no instructions or information on their website. I appreciate that the game is free and I've enjoyed playing it, and put my time in with the ads so the company earns money. But with this poor app support and arbitrary barrier to the daily puzzle, I'll spend my playing time elsewhere.
Great time waste but….
Wed Jul 05 2023 SailorJake81Ok developers. You are on the edge of ruining this game for good. 1. Y’all need to stop with the non-winnable stuff here. When it drops several pieces that are impossible to move and score with you take the joy out of the game. 2. The ads, these are out of control. If you win, ad. When you lose, ad. Got a power block? ad. Give us the option to pay to remove the ads. 3. Listen to what the fans of the game are saying. We have a few decent ideas at ways we would like to see the game improved. I read a review where your inaction made someone delete the app. Tragic on your part. 4. To wrap up my rant…option to remove ads, fewer large blocks, oh and don’t add two or more lines at a time.
I would give 5 stars
Fri Nov 04 2022 Nan MiuraThis is a really great game, and I love it. However I don’t like that there’s no option to purchase an ad removal. I uninstalled for a period of time to see if the game has improved at all or not, and I see that it hasn’t. The game also glitches so badly that it quits on me and goes back to home screen all the time. I will be uninstalling the game, despite how much I love it. I don’t want to have to watch an ad every time I lose. It is tiring and the game is not worth my time if all I see are ads. I wish I could give 0 stars because the advertising with no option of ad removal is just that ridiculous. If the game devs decide to have the ad removal, I may consider installing the game again. Until then, I am going to have to resort to finding a game that’s similar enough to this one, but without the advertising.
It would have been 5 stars if it weren’t for the option of no ad removals.
Crashes every 10 seconds and NK way to contact support other than here
Fri Oct 06 2023 eknomilThe app has been crashing every 10 seconds for me. It’ll crash all day for a few days and be fine for a few days, then crash again for a few days.
It’s impossible to play this game regularly and there is NO support. You can copy your support ID in the app but you can’t report anything in app. In the App Store you can go to the developers website, which is just a link to a dead Facebook page no one uses. I even messaged them there and no one even looked at the message. Then you can report it to Apple, but even THAT isnt working because the flow has a bug in it that completely blocks the ability to report a quality issue. Might work on desktop but that’s not worth it.
This is the only game I play and have played it for years, but it’s impossible to play with all the crashes
More ad time than game time
Thu Dec 29 2022 DocumatrixLike so many other games, after every board I’m forced to sit through an ad. They were 30-second ads (5 or 10 seconds might have been tolerable), but I’m not interested in wasting more time watching ads than trying to play the game.
To the game company: You probably paid a considerable amount of money to get your ad in a different game (where the ads are optional and I receive a desirable game element in return for my time), so your cost of customer acquisition is likely pretty high. Does your ad revenue actually cover the cost of all the impressions required to acquire customers?
If your model offered a game element — hints, bombs, whatever — in exchange for ad play, you’d probably see an increase in number of players and a sizable decrease in people downloading, playing for five minutes, and deleting.
