As a gamer who’s seen decades of fantasy tropes, I appreciate Andor’s attempt to do something different. It’s not a dungeon crawler where you can grind for loot; it’s a logistics manager in a wizard’s hat. The 'Legend' mechanic, where the story moves forward every time you kill a monster or end a day, creates a suffocating tension. You can’t just clear the map; you have to surgically choose your battles, or you'll run out of time before the objective is met. It’s clever, but it feels more like solving a math equation than embarking on an epic quest.

The digital port is stable and looks exactly like the tabletop version, which is a double-edged sword. If you like the physical game, you'll feel right at home. However, the lack of substantial new content beyond the core scenarios means the replayability drops off a cliff once you’ve figured out the 'solution' to a legend. It’s a solid, conservative piece of software—no frills, no microtransaction nonsense, just pure, cold strategy.

Managing the Narrator

Defeating enemies moves the 'Narrator' track forward, which brings the game closer to an end. Only fight the monsters that are a direct threat to the castle.
