Lifeline: Halfway to Infinity is a stellar continuation of the Taylor saga. As a critic of narrative-driven games, I find the 'real-time' mechanic of the Lifeline series to be its greatest strength. Receiving a notification that Taylor is busy and will 'be back in an hour' creates a genuine bond; you start to worry about this fictional character like they are a real friend.
The writing remains sharp, witty, and surprisingly tense. Dave Justus has a way of making high-concept sci-fi feel intimate and personal. This installment raises the stakes significantly, dealing with some of the most existential threats Taylor has faced yet. It’s a text-based adventure that proves you don’t need graphics to create a truly immersive atmosphere.

Praise for Lifeline:
“I’ve played many games that I find engrossing, but Lifeline may be one of the first that changed the way I thought about my daily routine, which leapt off the screen and became a part of my lived experience.” - Eli Cymet, Gamezebo
“For a few brief hours I cared – really cared – about the fate of a completely fictional character. I don’t think any other game I’ve played has made me feel that way before.” - Matt Thrower, PocketGamer
