Ligretto is the kind of game that causes physical adrenaline. It’s a high-speed card game where everyone plays at the same time, trying to empty their 'Ligretto stack' onto common piles in the center. The digital version captures this frantic energy perfectly, using intuitive drag-and-drop or tap controls that keep up with the pace.

Playing against the AI is a great workout for your reflexes, but the local multiplayer is where the real yelling happens. The bright colors and simple rules make it accessible for kids, yet the speed required for victory makes it a challenge for adults. Ligretto is pure chaos in physical form, and the digital version captures that fairly well. The core loop of racing to slap cards down before your opponents is genuinely thrilling. It’s one of the few games that actually gets my heart rate up.

However, 'Speed' games on touchscreens are always a bit of a gamble. Mis-taps are frequent when the action gets intense, and the AI on 'Hard' mode reacts with inhuman speed that feels a bit unfair. It’s a great party game to play on an iPad where you have room to move, but on a phone, it feels a bit too busy. It’s a solid conversion, but it lacks the tactile 'thwack' of slamming a card onto a physical table. A decent effort, but not a replacement for the real thing.
