Little Builders is one of those rare apps that perfectly understands its target audience. Most kids go through a 'truck and construction' phase, and this app lets them live it out digitally. The animations are charming and often funny—like the workers taking a lunch break—and the sound design of the engines and tools is very satisfying.

What I love as a parent is the 'gentle' nature of the app. There are no high scores, no 'Game Over' screens, and most importantly, no advertisements or confusing menus. It’s just a high-quality, interactive toy. It teaches basic cause-and-effect and helps with fine motor skills as kids learn to drag and drop building materials. It’s a polished, wholesome experience that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend for any young child.

This is essentially a high-quality interactive toy. As an adult, there's absolutely nothing here for me, but looking at it through the lens of a 4-year-old, it’s quite successful. The animations of the trucks and the 'mud' physics are surprisingly decent for a kids' app. It’s tactile and easy to understand.

That said, it’s very thin on content. Once the child has operated each of the five or six vehicles, they’ve seen everything the game has to offer. It lacks the scale of something like Toca Boca. It’s a one-and-done purchase which I appreciate over a subscription, but don't expect it to keep a kid's attention for more than a week. It’s the digital equivalent of a $10 plastic truck.

On our construction site your child can drive a digger, mix cement, roof a building, operate a crane, drive a street sweeper or paint a house. There’s so much to do here. Our Little Builders dig, plaster, fill, paint and mix... And they need your children´s help.
At the same time they can watch funny things happen, because on every building site there’s always something going wrong. Water suddenly bursts from a pipe, a builder falls into a hole or the wind blows the bricks away because the cement wasn’t dry yet.
Little Builders is the first 3D app for children aged 2-6 years that want to explore the world of being a real little builder. Depending on the child’s age, all animations and functions can run automatically or be controlled through a tap.
