Dogmelon’s take on Mahjong is as standard as they come. If you’ve played one digital Mahjong game in the last twenty years, you’ve played this. The tiles are clear, the physics of the 'click' are fine, and the layouts are standard. I appreciate the lack of flashy, distracting animations that plague modern mobile games, but it almost leans too far into being plain.
There’s no sense of accomplishment here. You clear a board, you move to the next. For a paid app, I expected a bit more depth—perhaps some historical context on the tiles or a more robust scoring system. It’s reliable, sure, but it’s the gaming equivalent of a plain ham sandwich. It fills the void, but you won't remember it tomorrow.
