Merge Blasters is the definition of 'low-effort fun.' It’s satisfying for about ten minutes—merging guns and watching things blow up is a primal gamer joy. But the game has the depth of a puddle. After the third or fourth upgrade, you realize you're just doing the exact same thing over and over with slightly bigger numbers. It lacks any tactical requirement. You just merge the biggest thing you can and point it at the screen. It’s fine for a commute, but don't expect it to stay on your phone for more than a day.
