INSANELY slow
Sun Apr 06 2025 The beauty of having a mindThe game is crazy slow to open any icons, like events, menus, and the mini games take f o r e v e r to load. It lags SO bad that sometimes I fall asleep waiting for the match games to open. Other times I just walk away, hoping it will open by the time I come back. There are way too many pop up offers for “free” stuff (not free) and too many demands on the game behind the scenes for it to function properly. Often it just won’t let me click on anything. Dandelions and creatures flying by.. but won’t let me play. Advertising bubbles are constantly popping up, getting in the way, trying to force buying options, and freezing up the game. I get that they need to advertise to make money, but it’s continually in your face. It takes so darn long for their propaganda to load that I have to wait for several minutes for it to load just so I can close their ads. Rinse, repeat.. it’s nonsense. My patience is wearing thin. I don’t bother click on events or any icons because it stops everything from working.
⭐️ ..okay, I am done. This game is pointless. It’s nothing but a big struggle to get anywhere. I’ve played for a few weeks, thinking there would eventually be the ability to design areas at some point. Wrong. It’s a constant fight to clear space and it fills right back in with unwanted items. There’s no point to any of this. Deleting.
Really great game!
Mon Oct 23 2023 MaddytheHuskyThis game is super fun! Though I have seen some people complain about too many adds? I’m sorry but this game doesn’t have those annoying time wasting long pointless adds!! I hate the other merging games because after a couple mins it becomes harder and more frustrating but this game is a lot of fun, easy to play and endgame purchases that they have are cheap and affordable. When have you seen a game that has a decent price for purchasing something? It doesn’t really happen like ever, not to mention it’s a great way to focus on if I’m having bad anxiety, no that might not work for everyone but it does for me. Everything about this game is perfect and enjoyable, yes the puzzles might get harder but it’s still fun to play. I hope you reading this doesn’t end up believing that this game has too many adds and isn’t worth playing, but I will say just try it out for yourself before you decide to keep playing it or not or if the people who hate the game just because it’s easy and enjoyable are really telling the truth.
Puzzles have made this game unplayable
Sat Mar 09 2024 Alex_C_BIt’s a shame because the game is promising, with great characters, a great storyline and beautiful graphics. But the difficulty of the puzzles and the amount needed to pass a single level have rendered the game unplayable. It’s unreasonable, and it’s clearly to make you spend money/gems. I have no issue with spending money on games, but I don’t like to feel like I’m being strong-armed into doing it just to be allowed to continue a game. And clearly it’s an algorithm of sorts, because after 4-5 failed attempts at passing a level, the game gives up on trying to sell you power-ups and gems and lets you pass the level, all of a sudden, mysteriously, conveniently, with 14 moves to spare! Hmmm… clearly not about skills. You just have to suffer through playing each level 5 times until the game allows you to move forward.
And yea I know that the developer is going to say that they’ve tested all the puzzles and they had no problem passing them without gems or powerups (hmmm), but I’ve done a test of my own. I’m no stranger to match-3 games. Currently playing three match-3 games (Gardenscapes, Candy Saga, and Merge Gardens) and the other two don’t even come close to this constant level of difficulty to pass Merge Gardens puzzles. I all but forgot what the plot was and all but abandoned all the other features of the game just to focus on passing 15 puzzles. Every. Single. Level. Just to move forward a little. Such a shame.
You can play for HOURS
Sun Nov 26 2023 RowyntreeBut the game is full of glitches, so you have to keep exiting out and going back in. Suddenly, you’re unable to sell the magic bubble or baskets unless you exit out and re-open the game. The bubble that continuously floats around your garden and blocks your view doesn’t even work when you tap on it to watch a video to get a free item. Nothing happens when you tap the button. You’ll be gifted each day with eggs that you can’t hatch unless you buy them using gems. Want to use the hen house to store all those useless eggs? You need to buy the slots using gems. While playing the match puzzles, you’ll create a bomb and it won’t destroy anything but itself. The puzzles get so increasingly difficult that there’s no way to solve them without using gems - cheapest is $5 - and as you level up, the more puzzles you have to play to expand your garden. I’m at having to complete 15 before I can expand and I only got that far because I caved and spent $5. I’m not willing to keep spending, so I’ll be deleting the game soon. It’s really such a shame, because if they fixed the glitches, gave you free access to the hen house, if you could harvest gems and if the puzzles were solvable on the second try without having to use gems, this would be a number one, top notch game. I’d pay upfront for a game like I described. Instead this is just a greedy money grab. Everything you do to play is based on you spending money. DON’T PLAY THIS GAME.
Passing levels becomes impossible!
Mon Oct 23 2023 lilyy36I’m very disappointed because I actually enjoyed this game very much at first. Sadly, I have had the same experience as MANY people in the reviews in which the puzzles were fairly easy at the beginning of the game and then became very difficult to pass. There is no reason that so many people should be having to spend money just to advance. It’s obviously not a skill issue.
You have to pass usually at least a dozen puzzle levels to level up and get new missions. This would be fine except that almost every single one takes forever to win. It is clearly set up so that the player is at a huge disadvantage and nowadays that is usually just a ploy to get people to spend their money. If you don’t advance, the game gets VERY boring, and it becomes impossible to do so without spending money.
If the developer actually cared about improving the experience of their players, and not JUST about making money, they would answer with more than the “some levels are more difficult than others” response. That means that they don’t even care to look into it even though there are TONS of reviews saying the exact. same. thing.
It makes me sad because this game has a lot of potential. I don’t mind spending some money to support a good game, but I will not play a game where I am FORCED to spend money.
What a disappointment
Thu Nov 07 2024 GamGam240Long story short, the developers don’t care about the players gameplay experience or feedback. (Like many others, they aren’t special). However, this time it was different for me. They choose random people to test their new features without consent and the players can’t find out about this unless they see other players having more fun in the game. It doesn’t matter if you pay or not. The one feature that was bothering me was the rested wildlife not exceeding 25 no matter how many wildlife you have and no matter how long you wait. At first I thought it was a bug and contacted them as it didn’t make any sense to me. I was making more birds, but the number of rested wildlife didn’t go up. In their reply, they never mentioned anything about a test going on and that it’s NOT for everyone. But then I discovered it wasn’t the same for everyone. It literally opposes the purpose of the game which is merging. Not only did they not take consent, but they hid the truth. And they won’t remove you from the test that you didn’t sign for in the first place, There are a lot of things to worry about in life. It’s not worth it to be frustrated over a game. It’s easy to find another game. I just regretted spending my relaxing time playing this one. I’m glad I didn’t pay. I feel sorry for those who paid then discovered this. This just show how much they don’t care.
Still just ok
Tue Mar 28 2023 EirracaI loved it when it started, but they replaced some characters and I’m not feeling it. Much of the charm of the game is gone. Gramma’s gone, interim female character gone, some other new female character now. Dude with a bird on his head is not as appealing as the stork. Glad the hedgehog is gone but he could’ve been reworked to be cute, maybe more like a real one in your garden. They’ve added supposed mystery but it’s just uncovering characters it seems. Some ui has improved but then that made space for more unnecessary stuff on the screen. The biggest annoyance is the daily trade, ie, “give me x of this and you’ll get x of that,” the arrow never goes away after you look at it. You have to complete it for it to go away, so you always see it when you’re in other parts of the garden directing you to go back to it. It’s like, I saw it, am not doing it, be gone. It’s not going to make me complete it, more like stop playing. Now when your score goes up, it pops up in the middle of the screen, very annoying. I can see my score in the corner, I don’t need it in my face. I feel they try to annoy you on purpose. I’ll still play, but it’s not as cute or enjoyable as it used to be. Prefer less people-y and more creatures that you’d find in a garden. More updates just resulted in removing a star. It’s getting even less enjoyable.
Extremely boring game!
Sat Dec 16 2023 Edgar800The only great thing about this game is the cinematic ad video that got me to download the game. The graphics are great too but good Lord this game is extremely boring. It takes FOREVER to collect nectar to clear lands. The birds go to sleep too quick then you have to wait 20 minutes or longer for them to wake up to make nectar. You use them 3 times then they go to sleep again for 20 minutes. It requires a lot, and i mean A LOT of nectar to clear areas. Even at the beginning of the game. I played for maybe 15 minutes and already had to wait hours to clear land. Quite the dumbest idea for a developer to do honestly. Your areas get overflowing with eggs and useless stuff to the point you run out of room. You end up losing interest on the story, which thats another issue. Because of the long, very long waiting periods of times that you have to go through, there little to no interaction between characters. You just play for a minute and wait hours to collect nectar and clear lands. Probably the worst game ive ever played. Its just a waiting game, everything you do you have to wait hours and hours. Barely enjoyable. Don’t fall for the pretty advertisement video. Its very disappointing because it looks like a good game but i can tell it was made by greedy developers looking to empty your wallet.
Functional. Visual. Not as advertised. Boring. Not for me.
Thu Aug 29 2024 Eliza12Only downloaded this a few days ago and I’m already bored. The game advertises the story, which is not the main part of the game. Building out a garden or the house is also not really part of the game. It’s just merging items, filling up the area you have very quickly so all you can do is play, basically their version of candy crush. Not what I expected so I won’t be playing any further.
Visually and technically the game is cute, the art is adorable. The only issues I’ve had are learning what can even be done in the game at any given time and moving the board around as it requires finding a point that doesn’t contain a moveable item or the item moves rather than the screen. Guess that’s why you have the option to lock items.
Only game play issue I would like to note is that there does not appear to be a way to sell, trash or in any way remove items from the game board that require a real money purchase or waiting however many eons it would take to collect that many gems without offering real-life funds. Wish there was a way to remove unwanted items, even if I got nothing in-game in exchange.
All the great takes serious damage
Sat Aug 16 2025 Suski33So very sad. 🥺😢 This might be the best merge game I’ve found - very accessible, fun and funny story, and (for the most part) price points that are very reasonable. I can even live with the very cramped playing area.😱So how does it lose its stars? With two elements that the app developers have decided to make central features of their game. The first - and most important - is the Match 3. If I wanted to play 15+ levels of this type of game I’d be playing Simon’s Cat or Fishdom. But that’s what I need to do to level up in a MERGING game. And as the game progresses they take so many attempts even on the “easy” levels. It becomes less of an enjoyable respite from merging and more of a excruciatingly tedious slog. 🥵 And this is also where the price point goes crazy: 25 gems to continue? And 30 more just to get a couple of boosters that may or may not help. The second element that kills the ratings stars are the events, some with a big gem (or cash) buy-in. At least for me they seem far too short to accomplish unless I’m willing to devote every hour of my day to a game. Needless to say… I’m not. So, an otherwise fantastic game shoots itself in the foot. I grabbed the delicious 30 day gem deal, so you have me for at least that long.🤣🤪😳
