Dinsun Review
I actually enjoyed the first five minutes of Microtown. It has a satisfying 'cleaning and stocking' loop that appeals to my sense of order. However, the developer’s greed quickly killed the fun. Getting an unskippable ad every single minute—and I timed it—is a slap in the face. It’s impossible to get into a flow state when your gameplay is constantly being severed by commercials.
The 'io' suffix is also a bit of a lie; there’s very little meaningful interaction with other players. It’s mostly just a solo management game with some bots running around. There are also technical bugs, like cashiers refusing to work even when the shop is full of food, that haven't been addressed. It’s a shame, because I’d actually pay for a version of this that didn't treat me like an ad-viewing metric.
