I’ve played my fair share of golf games, from the pixelated classics to the modern sims, and Mini Golf Magic sits squarely in the 'mediocre' tier. The 'magic' aspect is really just a coating of gimmicks on top of standard mini-golf. Sometimes the level design is clever, utilizing verticality and portals, but more often it feels like the physics engine is doing most of the work for you.

My primary issue is the lack of weight. The ball feels like a marble on glass, making fine-tuned shots feel more like luck than skill. For a 40-year-old gamer who appreciates mastery and tight controls, this feels a bit too loose. It’s colorful and runs fine, but it doesn't leave a lasting impression. It’s the kind of game you play in a doctor's waiting room and forget as soon as your name is called.
